I am starting this site as a resource for harvesting the bountiful Sonoran Desert. I will be documenting my learning experiences about the natural desert foods growing on my land so hopefully others can learn about the delicious and nutritious options growing around here.
The Spring in the Sonoran Desert is a wonderful time with so many plants blooming and producing fruit. Being that it is April, the Cholla Bud harvest is plentiful so that will be the topic of my beginning posts.
